Thank you for your interest in a KVAMME'S English Cocker. We hope the following information will acquaint you with us and our philosophy on our breeding program, goals, and aspirations. We strive to breed sound, merry, typey English Cockers, dogs which are at home in the ring, field, or by the hearthside.

After our involvement with Golden Retrievers, in 1975 we began in English Cockers by selecting from the best stock in the country. We have benefited greatly from the support and guidance given from the following kennels: Dunelm, Kenobo, Reklawholm, & Wingslade. They deserve the credit for creating the sound, top producing winners which figure in our dogs pedigrees.

We have sought quality, not quantity, hence have bred about one litter every two years. We breed primarily for ourselves, and grade our litters strictly, expecting our show prospects to win, otherwise we believe the pup is far better off in a loving pet home.

Temperament is important to us. We have trained & owned top winning obedience dogs including a Utility degree. The dogs show career is a brief duration in their entire life span, so it is essential to maintain their biddability "intelligence & merry deposition". Our pups are raised according to "Guide Dogs for the Blind" recommendations, and are puppy tested by an A.K.C. judge. At eight weeks of age littermates are separated. We feel it helps the puppies reach their fullest potential, ie: pups with self-confidence, individual personalities, and pups which have not had to be submissive to their littermates. Our dogs are known for being "birdy" & have done very well in the field, garnering many Working Dog Excellent degrees. Our dogs have also excelled in tracking and have many Tracking Dog titles to their credit.

Three generations of our dogs have the distinction of gracing the cover of "Complete English Cocker Spaniel" by Vanacore and are featured in "Cocker Spaniel (English)" by English judge Caddy, The English Cocker Spaniel Club of America book, and the A.K.C. video on the breed.

We are proud that our dogs are competitive on a National level, winning numerous Awards of Merit, Best of Winners, Best in Sweepstakes, and stud dog class awards at the E.C.S.C.A. Specialties.

We are sure you appreciate the strong depth of hip/eye clearances in our dogs pedigrees.

Puppies from our litter will be available to approved homes with references, one of which can be your veterinarian.

The highest quality, breed versatility, and complete soundness of structure & temperament have always been the goals sought. The many show ring, title holders, and top producer awards indicate these goals are being adhered to. We anticipate the upcoming litters will continue to up hold these ideals.
